Graduated in Exercise and Sport Science, Master Degree in Teacher Training specialized in Physical Education (2011), and PhD. in Exercise and Sport Science (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid).
Postdoctoral researcher at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (2015). She has carried out pre and post-doctoral stays in USA, Brazil and Portugal. She is currently a Juan de la Cierva Researcher at the Faculty of Sports Sciences of the University of Granada (Spain).
Her main research areas are among others: Evaluation of physical condition in young population, Objective evaluation of physical activity and sedentary lifestyle through accelerometry, Lifestyles, health-related factors and their influence on academic performance in young population, Physical exercise and its effect on different dimensions of physical, mental, cognition and brain health in the young population, physical activity and its impact on frailty syndrome and cognitive impairment in the elderly.
Dr. Esteban Cornejo participated at the XIII International Symposium of Strength Training with the workshop entitled "EXERCISE AND BRAIN HEALTH DURING CHILDHOOD AND AGING: ACTIVEBRAINS AND AGUEDA PROJECTS".
